This release upgrades FINANCIER to incorporate XML Schema 5.0A for 2022-23 COD reporting. All 2022-23 Common Record documents must be sent using COD Common Record XML Schema Version 5.0a. All 2022-23 Common Record responses will be sent by the COD System using COD Common Record XML Schema Version 5.0a
Changes have been made to both the Direct lending export process and to the Grant export process. The only change made with this release to any of the import programs is to the namespace part of the Common Record file.
<DirectLoanAttendanceCost>: This new tag is to be reported for DLSubsidized, DLUnsubsidized, and DLPLUS in the Award Block of the XML file. This amount will be taken from the Methodology 2 Cost of Education, where the cost is adjusted for enrollment.
<PaymentPeriodEndDate>: This new tag will be added to the disbursement block for Direct Loans, Pell, and Teach.
<PaymentPeriodStartDate>: This existing tag is in the disbursement block is now required for Pell, Direct Loans, and Teach.
For both Payment Period end date and Payment Period start date: For Direct Loans, if the Loan Period dates are locked on the Financier Loan Summary screen, then the Loan Period Start and End dates from the Loan Summary will be reported. If the Loan Period Start and End dates on the Loan Summary screen are NOT locked, then the Calendar Table Begin and End dates for the appropriate terms of the Loan Period will be reported. For Pell and Teach, the Calendar Table Begin and End dates for the appropriate terms will be reported.
The DUNS ID is being replaced with the Unique Entity Identifier for Schema 5.0a. Currently the DUNS ID is displayed only the FAO table and it is not transmitted or reported anywhere. This change will be released with the 2023-24 Regulation Release in the 4th quarter of 2022.
The new optional tag, <IncarceratedStudentIndicator> will not be implemented in Financier.
