2024-2025 Regulatory Release (File Changes)

This is the first of two release items which comprise the 2024-2025 Regulatory release. This first item concerns both new year-specific file definitions required for 2024-2025 Federal processing, as well as updates to previously existing files. The accompanying source code changes will be issued in release item 2404-02.

(Dictionary entries, traditionally delivered with the file changes, will be delivered with the source code changes for 2024-2025.)

Implementation Notes

1. File changes:
   • New year file changes
     • Load the new file definitions from the SYSOBJH file (named sy240401.txt) in the attached zip file to PREDICT. These file definitions include layouts for:
       • WF-CPS-2425 (file/userview)
       • WF-CPS-CMP-2425 (userview)
       • WF-FEDERAL-2425 (file/userview)
       • WF-FED-CMP-2425 (userview)
       • WF-ISIR-2425 (file/userview)
       • WF-ISIR-CMP-2425 (userview)
       • WF-NSLDS-2425 (file/userview)
       • WF-NSLDS-CMP-2425 (userview)
       • WF-VERIFY-2425 (file/userview)
       • WF-VER-CMP-2425 (userview)
     • Change file numbers to match your institution's physical file numbers.
     • Generate ADABAS files for the WF-xxxx-2425 files listed above.
     • Generate DDMs for the WF-xxxx-2425 and WF-xxxx-CMP-2425 userviews listed above. You may need to set the Generate Security option to YES for the new files.
     • If NATURAL Security is used, add the new files to NATURAL Security.
     • Link the new files to your FINANCIER library as Update.
   • Additionally, this year's Regulatory modifications necessitate changes to previously existing files, specifically the WF-ADD, WF-AIDYEAR, and WW-STUDENT files.
     
     As changes to existing files occur rarely, we will deliver these changes in two formats for your convenience: a replacement SYSOBJH and detailed line changes.
     
     You may used the "line changes" below or the second delivered SYSOBJH file of DDMs (sy240401b.txt) as you see fit.
     
     
     • WF-ADD - increase file size due to ISIR file size increase

           Add 20 250 byte fields to the bottom of the WF-ADD file
